Head Shoulders, Say Hello

Head, shoulders, say hello, say hello.

Head, shoulders, say hello, say hello.

Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.

Head, shoulders, say hello, say hello.

Repeat, going faster!

Rhyme 1: “I’m a Little Kitty Cat” (Tune: “I’m a Little Teapot”)

I’m a little kitty cat,

Nice and sweet.

Here are my whiskers,

And here are my feet.

When I go out hunting,

Mice beware,

Or you might just have a scare!

Rhyme 2: If you’re ready for a story

Book: Curious Kitties

Rhyme 3: If you’re a cat and you know it

If you're a cat and you know it,

say, "Meow!"

If you're a cat and you know it,

say, "Meow!"

If you're a cat and you know it,

and you really want to show it.

If you're a cat and you know it,

say, "Meow!"

(Swish your tail. Show your claws)

Flannel: Cat

Kitty, kitty, are you in the (color) house?

Book: You are not a cat

Goodbye Friends

Goodbye Friends.

Goodbye Friends.

Goodbye Friends.

It's time to say Goodbye!

Adiós Amigos.

Adiós Amigos.

Adiós Amigos.

Adiós Amigos.

Es hora de decir adiós

How it went!

The books I chose were short, which helped the kids to stay engaged. The first book was great because I had them count how many pieces of yarn there were and also label the colors. I would definitely repeat that book but maybe put it in the middle for when the kids start to lose focus.
